Terms
Terms of use
What you can expect from CaddiQ, and what CaddiQ expects from you.
Last updated: 12 October 2026. This is a translation; if the two versions differ, the Dutch version applies.
These terms apply to the use of CaddiQ: the app at caddiq.ai/app and everything that comes with it. I have kept them as short and clear as possible. How I handle your data is described in the privacy statement.
1. Who I am
CaddiQ is a product of SDNY B.V., based in 's-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce 32136104). Where these terms say “I”, they mean SDNY B.V. Questions can be emailed to info@caddiq.ai.
2. When these terms apply
- You agree to these terms when you create an account. The app records which version you confirmed and when.
- If I change the terms, the app asks you to confirm the new version before you continue playing. If you do not agree, you can stop and delete your account (see article 11).
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
3. Your account
- An account is for one person. You sign in with a code I send to your email address; make sure only you have access to that email address.
- Fill in your details truthfully, especially your handicap and your club distances. The advice is only as good as what you enter.
4. What CaddiQ is, and what it is not
- CaddiQ gives you distances and advice on your club choice and where to aim. That advice is an aid. You decide which shot you play.
- Look around before you play. Watch out for other players, greenkeepers and safety on the course, just as without an app. Do not use your phone while driving a buggy.
- If you play a competition or qualifying round, the Rules of Golf and the committee decide what is allowed. Advice that takes elevation or wind into account is then usually not allowed (Rule 4.3). Turn on competition mode. Following the rules remains your responsibility.
- You manage your handicap and official scores in the GOLF.NL app or with your club. CaddiQ does not keep an official handicap.
5. Courses and maps
Every course in CaddiQ is drawn by hand and checked. Even so, a course can differ: a tee that has moved, a temporary green, a newly built hazard. I do my best to keep everything accurate, but I cannot guarantee that every distance or hazard is correct at every moment. If you see something that is wrong, report it in the app; that improves the map for everyone.
6. Prices and subscription
- Up to and including 31 March 2027, CaddiQ is free, on all courses. You do not need to enter payment details and nothing is renewed or charged automatically.
- You will hear well in advance what CaddiQ costs after that. You only pay if you choose to. What applies then (price, duration, cancellation, your cooling-off period) will be clearly shown in the app at the moment you choose, and in an addition to these terms.
- If you later choose a paid subscription, you have a 14-day cooling-off period by law.
7. Your home course
When you sign up, you choose a home course. In the first 14 days after signing up you can still correct it. After that you can change your home course once a year.
8. What you add to CaddiQ
- I may use reports about a course (a tee, a hole, the pin position), course photos and reviews to improve CaddiQ and the course maps, also for other players. I do not show that they come from you. You remain the owner of your own photos.
- Do not add anything that is not yours, that is offensive or that harms someone else.
9. Flights and competitions
- If you organise a competition, you are responsible for its set-up, the results and the people you invite. Only invite people who are happy to be invited.
- The standings in CaddiQ are an aid. In case of doubt, the scorecard as determined by the committee applies.
10. Fair use
Use CaddiQ as intended. You may not:
- copy or automatically collect CaddiQ's maps, distances or other data on a large scale;
- copy, reverse engineer or disrupt the app or the server, or try to access other people's data;
- knowingly submit false reports or share your account with others.
If that happens anyway, I may temporarily block or end your account. I will tell you why.
11. Stopping
- You can stop at any time: delete your account in the app (Menu → Profile → Stop using CaddiQ?). Your data is then erased straight away, as described in the privacy statement.
- If I stop CaddiQ, or a part of it that you pay for, I will let you know at least 30 days in advance. Anything you paid in advance for the period after that will be refunded.
12. Availability
I make sure CaddiQ works as well as possible, but I cannot promise it is always available everywhere without interruption. Without signal the app keeps working as well as it can and sends your shots later. CaddiQ also changes: I add things, improve them and sometimes remove something.
13. Liability
- The advice is an aid; the decision about your shot is yours. I am not liable for the consequences of a shot, a lost ball, a score or a competition result.
- If I am liable nevertheless, my liability is limited to the amount you paid for CaddiQ in the preceding 12 months. As long as CaddiQ is free, it is limited to €100.
- These limitations do not apply in case of intent or gross negligence on my part, nor to the extent the law does not allow them.
14. What belongs to whom
The app, the course maps, the calculations and the CaddiQ name and logo belong to SDNY B.V. You may use CaddiQ for your own game. Your own data remains yours.
15. Complaints and disputes
- If you have a complaint, email info@caddiq.ai. You will get an answer within 14 days.
- These terms are governed by Dutch law. If we cannot resolve a dispute together, you can go to the court where you live.
